Job Summary
Manage end-to-end production for imported apparel, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and cost targets are met. Develop relationships with overseas vendors to monitor progress and resolve issues proactively. Coordinate with Product Development and Design teams to translate concepts into final products and approve pre-production samples, lab dips, and prototypes. Oversee production schedules, identify risks, and implement corrective actions for on-time delivery. Collaborate with Sourcing and Planning teams to optimize lead times and inventory planning. Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and licensing standards while tracking and reporting production metrics. Manage import shipment documentation and mentor junior coordinators. This office-based role supports continuous improvement initiatives within MAD Engine's US Wholesale division.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in apparel or accessories production management with a focus on imported products
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, materials, trims, and international production processes
- Experience managing overseas vendors, including communication, quality control, and lead-time management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- familiarity with PLM, ERP, or production tracking systems
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Apparel Production, Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
- Knowledge of compliance, safety standards, and import regulations preferred
- Experience in licensed or branded product categories a plus
