Job Summary
Senior IMDS Engineer responsible for ensuring IMDS compliance across products, including data collection, analysis, and reporting. Manages and maintains material data and IMDS files, collaborates with Design and Engineering on material selection and substitutions, identifies and mitigates non-compliance risks, conducts audits and provides management reporting on IMDS performance with recommendations, and delivers training to cross-functional teams on IMDS regulations and guidelines to promote ongoing compliance and process efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Materials Science, or related field
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience in IMDS compliance, product design, or related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of IMDS regulations and guidelines, material data management, and design for compliance
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
- IMDS certification or equivalent preferred
