Sr. Imaging & Computer Vision Architect

Job Summary
Senior Imaging & Computer Vision Architect to define imaging, ISP, video, and computer vision architectures for Ambiq's next-generation SoCs, drive imaging pipeline strategy, evaluate IP, define APIs and HW abstraction layers, and collaborate across FPGA, design, verification, and product teams. Will work on architecture specifications, power/performance models, system flows, and use-case definitions; contribute to product roadmaps and imaging technology strategy; engage with customers to align capabilities with market needs. Requires a BS in electrical/computer engineering or related field, 8+ years in imaging/ISP/vision/AI accelerator architecture, ability to create architecture specifications for complex SoCs, expertise in ISP/camera systems/vision/video encoding/decoding/NN acceleration/embedded AI, experience from concept to silicon validation, and strong cross-functional collaboration skills. Preferred MS or PhD and leadership experience. Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship; position based in Austin, TX, onsite five days per week.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 8+ years of imaging, ISP, video, computer vision, AI accelerator, or related architecture experience
- Proven experience creating architecture specifications for complex SoCs or hardware platforms
- Expertise in Image Signal Processing (ISP), Camera Systems, Computer Vision, Video Encode/Decode, Neural Network Acceleration, or Embedded AI
- Experience delivering products from concept through silicon validation
- Strong understanding of low-power mobile, wearable, or IoT systems
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
