Job Summary
Sr. Ignition Software Engineer needed to design, develop, and maintain Ignition-based SCADA applications for hyperscale data center environments (Perspective front-end, Python scripting, REST APIs, data reporting). Architect data collection, reporting, and analytics across BMS/EPMS scopes for large-scale deployments; participate in Agile/Scrum workflows; leverage virtualization, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and backend compute concepts; manage source code with Git and follow SDLC standards; travel to client sites for startup and commissioning as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science/Engineering preferred or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience in system integration, SCADA, or industrial software development
- Strong fluency in Ignition platform development (Perspective)
- Experience with onsite startup and commissioning of control systems
- Proficiency in Python scripting; experience with JavaScript and/or Java a plus
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and data center computing infrastructure
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; strong communication and mentoring abilities
- Ability to travel as necessary for project requirements
