Sr. HVAC Design Engineer

Job Summary
Lead and mentor a team of 3–5 HVAC design engineers while taking ownership of end-to-end HVAC design responsibilities across diverse building services projects. Review and validate designs, calculations, drawings, and documentation; prepare Design Basis Reports and technical deliverables for clients, architects, and co-consultants. Incorporate project-specific requirements and client feedback, then coordinate with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct periodic site visits to resolve technical issues and ensure design intent is implemented correctly. Monitor project progress across design, drafting, execution, and commercial aspects, while supporting billing and payment follow-ups. Drive productivity and continuous improvement within the team.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years experience
- Strong experience in HVAC Design and Engineering for building services projects
- Proven ability to independently manage HVAC design responsibilities across multiple projects
- Experience leading and mentoring a team of engineers and draftsmen
- Strong understanding of HVAC design principles, engineering calculations, drawings, and technical documentation
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively with clients, architects, and co-consultants
- Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to undertake periodic site visits and resolve technical issues
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, organizational, and leadership abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining quality, timelines, and commercial awareness
