Sr. HSE Manager

Job Summary
Implements comprehensive EHS processes for assigned projects while adhering to corporate, divisional, and regional programs. Oversees HSE Managers and develops site-specific HSE plans in coordination with Project Managers and the management team. Coordinates subcontractor EHS protocols, leads hazard elimination investigations, and initiates corrective measures to minimize risks and manage losses. Ensures Industrial Hygiene protocols are followed, manages the Drug-Free Workplace Policy including testing schedules, and provides safety training and education to personnel. Completes weekly EHS updates and administers the corporate SPAT process. Requires a Bachelor's degree, CHST certification, and seven years of major construction project experience. Located in Austin and San Antonio, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent
- CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician) Certification
- Minimum 7 years of experience, with the majority of the experience on major construction projects
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- critical thinking and problem solving abilities
- ability to prioritize, organize and manage time
- Knowledge of regulations and standards as well as hazard recognition and injury management skills
- Some travel required
- Required to stand, walk, sit and/or climb stairs or ladders
