Job Summary
Design, gather requirements, test, and deploy configurations for multiple Workday modules including Compensation, Payroll, Benefits, Security, and Time and Absence. Translate business requirements into solutions, build business processes, and maintain system integrity through audits and monitoring. Serve as the escalation point for complex system issues, manage biannual Workday releases, and lead end-to-end project management for HR initiatives. Provide functional support for end-users via training and troubleshooting. Most positions require some on-campus work in Seattle, with flexibility for out-of-state applicants upon recruiter approval. This role supports the HRIS team's mission to enhance efficiency and compliance within Fred Hutch's integrated research and clinical care environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of HRIS experience with at least 3+ years of Workday HCM/payroll configuration
- Hands-on experience configuring in multiple Workday modules, including Payroll, Time & Absence, Benefits, Security, and/or Compensation
- Advanced skills creating/loading EIBs and building Workday reports/dashboards using Advanced, Matrix and Composite report types
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Ability to work on cross-functional teams and work independently
- Most Fred Hutch jobs require some on-campus work
- Workday Payroll Certification
- Familiarity with one or more of the following platforms: UKG, iCIMS, OnBase
- Knowledge of HR operations, compliance, and payroll processes
