Job Summary
Senior HR Generalist responsible for day-to-day HR operations in an hourly workforce environment (manufacturing/distribution). Serves as primary HR resource for employees, supervisors, and leaders on policies, procedures, and workplace expectations; handles employee relations investigations, documentation, and issue resolution; guides managers on performance conversations and communications; administers onboarding, benefits (health, dental, 401(k), HSA), leave programs (FMLA), and HRIS-related records; ensures compliance with federal/state/local employment laws; supports safety programs and workers’ compensation; manages payroll/documentation at the site level; maintains confidential employee files and supports policy updates and annual handbook reviews; requires strong judgment, confidentiality, and the ability to balance employee support with business risk in a manufacturing/ hourly workforce setting. Preferred: bilingual English/Spanish; SHRM-CP/PHR; driver’s license; experience with safety programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5–7+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in manufacturing, distribution, or an hourly workforce environment
- Strong experience across employee relations, benefits, onboarding, compliance, and HR operations
- Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (PayCom currently)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise strong professional judgment
- Experience supporting employee relations investigations and issue resolution
- Ability to work onsite with schedule flexibility as needed
