Job Summary
Senior Government Affairs Analyst EMENA based in the Netherlands (EU HQ) focusing on EU legislation around packaging circularity, food waste, and Digital Product Passport. Acts as a strategic liaison to internal functions (Legal, Compliance, Product, Strategy), drafts position papers and factsheets, and represents Avery Dennison in trade associations to advance policy priorities. Requires 5-6 years in government/public affairs with Brussels exposure; hybrid work setup from the European HQ in Oegstgeest, NL; reports to the Government Affairs Director EMENA.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge and demonstrable experience with designing and executing advocacy initiatives on EU legislation relating to packaging circularity, food waste and Digital Product Passport legislation and standards.
- Deep understanding of the EU decision-making process and a proven track record of engagement and influence in Brussels, ideally on the topic of food waste and packaging circularity.
- 5-6 years’ experience in government affairs or public affairs roles, ideally within a corporate, with direct responsibility over advocacy campaigns and direct exposure to outreach and engagement activities.
- Work experience in either the European Parliament and / or the European Commission.
