Sr GL Accountant

Job Summary
Oversee the monthly close process, including review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness. Perform intercompany accounting, including eliminations and reconciliations, while preparing consolidation reporting packages for the parent company. Review international payroll summaries, approve direct payments, and maintain strong documentation practices around cash disbursements. Collaborate with the parent company accounting team to resolve reporting issues and support audit requests. This role operates with a high degree of independence, providing functional oversight of accounting processes without direct supervisory responsibility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience with month-end close and financial reporting in a multi-entity environment
- Strong understanding of intercompany accounting and consolidations
- Experience working with ERP systems; Global Shop Solutions, Workday Adaptive, SAP
- Familiarity with SOX/internal controls frameworks
- Strong attention to detail and ability to review others' work effectively
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
