Job Summary
Senior GL Accountant responsible for US GAAP and SOX compliance, general ledger month-end closing, regulatory and financial reporting, internal control development, and process improvements. Responsibilities include managing all accounting operations, coordinating month-end and year-end close and audits, preparing financial forecasts and variance analyses, publishing timely financial statements, ensuring tax filings and regulatory reporting, and maintaining accuracy and integrity of the balance sheet through robust internal controls.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 8 years of related experience (project-based accounting is a plus)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics SL is a plus
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills; working with large datasets from multiple systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
- Ability to prioritize activities and manage workload in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to collaborate effectively with senior management and operations personnel
