Job Summary

Manage day-to-day operations on utility-scale solar projects by directing electrical and underground crew activities, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring safe, quality, and timely delivery. Perform accurate take-offs, production reporting, and weekly forecasting while assisting with project budgeting and estimating. Cultivate safety as a core value, oversee equipment maintenance, and handle installation, testing, and repair of underground MV and DC electrical wire. Track daily progress, resolve weather-related delays, and maintain accurate project records. Work long hours including weekends, travel frequently, and physically navigate construction sites to manage crew efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to work long and/or extended hours to include weekends, as needed
  • Ability to travel frequently
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, tools, and equipment (up to 50 pounds or more)
  • Ability to traverse irregular and steep terrain
  • Endurance to perform physical tasks throughout the workday, including bending, stooping, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
  • Agility and flexibility to navigate construction sites and access work areas, including climbing ladders and scaffolding
  • Ability to position one-self to work in confined spaces such as trenches, pits, manholes, and tunnels
  • Ability to wear personal protective gear most of the day
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions
  • Manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced education
  • Three or more years of construction management and/or electrical experience
  • NFPA 70E Certification
  • OSHA training and certifications
  • Familiarity with local codes, AHJ standards, and NEC code
  • Ability to read and interpret contracts, plans, and specifications
  • Effective time management skills, understanding how to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done
