Job Summary
Lead the development of Climate system features and functions for Scout Motors' SDV architecture, interfacing with R&D, electrical architecture, software development, production, quality and customer experience teams. Own end-to-end development of climate features, including system- and component-level requirements, DFMEA/DV/PV planning, and calibration data release for production. Act as the subject-matter expert for climate systems across the product lifecycle, driving system definition, architecture, and cross-functional collaboration from concept to launch. Drive sprint planning and maintain Best Practices for design standards and test procedures. Requires advanced degree and 8+ years in mechanical/mechatronics/EE/SW engineering with automotive climate experience; travel to Charlotte, NC or Novi, MI (onsite 4 days/week) and collaboration with multiple engineering disciplines.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/EE/SW engineering
- 8+ years of experience in Mechanical/Mechatronics/EE/SW engineering
- Experience with Automotive Systems or Mechatronics products in Climate Systems
- Strong understanding of first-principles engineering
- Systems engineering expertise
- Knowledge of automotive design and development processes and standard practices
- Experience with requirement management tools
- Familiarity with A2B, CAN, Automotive Ethernet, LIN, LVDS, and vehicle network tools (CANalyzer, CANoe)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
