Job Summary
Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack web applications using PHP and Laravel, building clean, maintainable code that adheres to object-oriented programming principles. Collaborate with a distributed engineering team in an Agile environment to contribute to both backend and frontend development, while troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing application performance. Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to continuously improve code quality, performance, and maintainability. This nearshore role supports a healthcare technology client on a 4–6 month contract for professionals based in LATAM, requiring availability during Central or Pacific Time Zone business hours and advanced English communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of full-stack software development experience
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and software design
- Experience building and maintaining modern web applications
- Advanced English communication skills (client-facing role)
- Availability to work during Central or Pacific Time Zone business hours
- Availability for a 4–6 month contract
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with PHP (Laravel is a strong plus, but not required)
- Strong Python development experience
- Strong Node.js development experience
- Experience working in Agile software development environments
- Willingness to learn and work with Laravel if coming from another object-oriented framework
