Job Summary
Senior Full Stack Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Java (Spring Boot) and Angular. Lead backend and frontend development, build and modernize RESTful APIs, migrate legacy SOAP/XML services to JSON, and modernize Java/Angular frameworks. Develop cloud-based, scalable solutions on Azure with a focus on security, performance, and code quality. Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Managers, and stakeholders to translate requirements, provide accurate effort estimates, and communicate risks. Own or contribute to modernization efforts, troubleshoot across the full stack, and ensure adherence to security best practices. The role emphasizes end-to-end development, architecture design, APIs, data models, and ongoing modernization initiatives, while staying current with new technologies and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Active DOD/DSS SECRET security clearance or higher (interim acceptable)
- Residence in DC/MD/VA (not remote)
- 6+ years of full stack development experience with Java and Spring Boot
- Experience with Angular frontend
- Proficiency in RESTful APIs and microservices
- Experience upgrading Java and frontend frameworks
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience in enterprise-scale environments
- Familiarity migrating SOAP/XML to REST/JSON
- Azure cloud services experience
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to learn new technologies via self-directed research
