Job Summary
Lead color, material, and graphic concepting for Women's Sport footwear each season, spanning early concepting through tech pack delivery. Dig into trend research across runway and retail to translate findings into brand-right product decisions. Partner with development teams in the U.S. and Asia to review prototypes and ensure samples reflect design intent before moving forward. Travel to Asia twice a year for hands-on factory and development collaboration. Move multiple projects in parallel, hitting calendar deadlines and keeping cross-timezone work on track. This role sits at the intersection of trend intelligence and execution, shaping how Skechers product looks and feels every season.
Required Qualifications
- At least two years of footwear design experience
- Genuine fluency in CMF (Color, Material, Finish)
- Materials sourcing capability
- Understanding of construction implications
- Knowledge of factory-level decision processes
- Sketching ability precise enough to translate design intent across oceans
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop as a working tool
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator as a working tool
- Ability to read color and material trends before they peak
- Judgment to determine which trends are worth chasing
- Ability to travel to Asia twice a year for hands-on factory and development collaboration
- Ability to move multiple projects in parallel
- Ability to hit calendar deadlines
- Ability to keep cross-timezone development work on track
