Job Summary
Sr Firmware Technician I responsible for the effective verification of hearing aid firmware and supporting firmware development activities. Roles include understanding firmware requirements and test cases, verifying functionality with tools such as Kiwi and Python, executing tests and documenting results, managing lab equipment and test fixtures, following and improving processes, mentoring other team members, and coordinating planning and project execution within the Firmware department. Must contribute to reducing manual test time, ensure quality, and communicate findings to FW Verification engineers.
Required Qualifications
- Technical degree in Software, Electronics or related field with 6+ years of relevant experience
- Experience using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers
- Experience with embedded systems
- Experience with electronic hardware
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools
- Proficiency in computer programming and software tools (e.g., Python)
- Strong troubleshooting, communication skills, and ability to work in a team
- Ability to work with lab equipment and test fixtures
- Experience in audio and/or wireless is desirable
