Job Summary
Senior Fire Protection / Plumbing Engineer responsible for designing plumbing and fire protection systems for mission-critical facilities (data centers, labs, control rooms). Collaborates with internal disciplines and client teams, conducts field surveys and site observations, develops drawings and specifications, performs hydraulic and load calculations, and prepares contract documents using Revit and AutoCAD. Requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Fire Protection/Plumbing engineering; PE is a plus; 5+ years of relevant experience; strong knowledge of NFPA codes and building codes; proficient with hydraulic calculations, client coordination, and QA/QC activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Fire Protection / Plumbing engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) is a big plus
- 5+ years’ experience in plumbing design and fire protection systems
- Revit Experience is a must
- AutoCAD proficiency
- Strong knowledge of NFPA and building codes
- Experience with mission-critical/data-center facilities
- Strong communication and client interfacing skills
- Ability to perform hydraulic calculations and load calculations
- Experience with design, drawing, and contract document preparation
