Job Summary
Lead fire protection and life safety design for the LA 28 Olympic and Paralympic Games, serving as the Design Lead for fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, and special suppression systems. Develop life safety code compliance plans, prepare technical specifications, and create permit documents while acting as a technical advisor to project teams. Participate in interdisciplinary reviews, develop cost estimates, and perform quality control reviews of design calculations and drawings to ensure compliance and accuracy. Contribute to engineering budgets and schedules, utilizing expertise across private, state, federal, and military sectors. Based in the Orange or Los Angeles office with occasional site visits, this role requires a PE license, US citizenship, and 6+ years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification
- US Citizenship
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field
- Extensive experience in fire protection engineering, including project management and technical leadership
- Deep understanding of fire protection systems, safety codes, and industry standards
- Proven ability to develop and review design procedures, cost estimates, and technical specifications
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience with interdisciplinary project coordination and quality control processes
- Based out of the Orange, CA or Los Angeles, CA office with occasional site visits and interdisciplinary meetings
