Job Summary
Manage day-to-day finance administration and accounting entries for the Netherlands and Germany entities, including processing general ledger, bank, and vendor transactions while maintaining accurate balance sheet reconciliations. Support the monthly close process, take ownership of intercompany balancing, and ensure all transactions are compliant with company policy and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with local and international teams to resolve operational issues, liaise with external stakeholders such as tax authorities and auditors, and contribute to ERP implementation and data quality improvements. Prepare data for VAT and Intrastat filings, process accounts payable and sales commissions, and identify opportunities to simplify processes and strengthen internal controls.
Required Qualifications
- Valid work permit for The Netherlands
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Fluency in Dutch and English
- German language skills at a functional business level (strong advantage)
- Able to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and stay organized in a fast-moving environment
- Practical experience with transactional finance, administrative processes, and ERP-based accounting activities
- Experience maintaining financial records in line with applicable regulations, internal controls, and accounting standards
- Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to work well with colleagues across functions and countries
- Proactive, reliable, and comfortable working independently while contributing positively to a team
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate, audit-ready work
- Analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems, ask the right questions, and improve processes
- Customer-focused and business-minded, with a practical approach to supporting internal and external stakeholders
- Able to follow policies and procedures while also suggesting improvements where processes can be simplified or strengthened
- Experience with ERP and accounting software
- A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Interest in digital tools, automation, reporting improvements, and data quality
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field (preferred)
- Five or more years of relevant finance experience in the Netherlands (preferred)
- Familiarity with the orthopedic, medical device, healthcare, or distribution environment (advantage)
