Sr. Financial Analyst

Job Summary
Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes by partnering with department managers to develop accurate financial plans. Develop and maintain financial models for strategic planning, capital investment, pricing analysis, and profitability reviews. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports including variance analysis against budget and prior year performance. Analyze business unit and branch-level financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for senior leadership. Monitor key performance indicators such as gross margin, operating expenses, EBITDA, and working capital. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes and annual audits to ensure GAAP compliance. Drive improvements to financial reporting tools and dashboards to increase efficiency. Requires a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years of experience, and advanced Excel skills. Full-time desk-based role in a standard office environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive financial analysis experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement analysis (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, financial modeling)
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screening
- Fosters good coworker citizenship and contributes to a positive work environment
- The position requires prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer
- The ability to perform repetitive motions such as typing and filing
- The ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 15 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- MBA or CPA
- Experience with Power BI, SQL, Tableau, or similar reporting tools
- Experience with ERP systems; Microsoft Business Central and/or Epicor Prelude a plus
- Experience within the distribution, automotive, diesel, or transportation industry
