Job Summary
Review and approve remote site month-end close, facilitate monthly forecasts and annual budgets, and analyze financial performance to explain significant variances against budget. Complete ad hoc financial analysis to control expenses, certify balance sheet reconciliations, and develop control frameworks to prevent revenue leakage. Provide financial oversight to an increased complexity portfolio of sites governed by unique commercial agreements, including direct interaction with operational sites and cross-functional departments. Drive site start-ups, monitor profit improvement plans for underperforming sites, and assist operations in developing tools for accurate billing. This role operates independently with daily interaction across Accounting, Procurement, and Business Development teams. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting, and 5+ years of commercial finance experience within the logistics industry.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in business, economics, finance or accounting or equivalent 4 years work experience
- 5+ years experience within the finance or accounting industry
- 5+ years of Commercial Finance experience
- Logistics industry experience
- Advanced accounting knowledge: P&L and balance sheet
- Effective communication skills; verbal & written
