Sr. Financial Accounting Analyst

Job Summary
Oversee month-end close and reconciliation by booking journal entries, analyzing intercompany transactions, and preparing consolidations for IFRS financial reporting. Maintain monthly and yearly financials, monitor intercompany balances, and ensure accounting records comply with Group Accounting policies and IFRS standards. Conduct research, prepare memos to support accounting positions, and assist with regulatory reporting surveys such as the Bureau of Economic Analysis. Identify process improvements based on financial data analysis and actively participate in implementing financial systems like Workday and PowerBI. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and monitor controls frameworks that support management decision-making and reduce operational risks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in public accounting and/or the Energy/Trading industry performing accounting, month-end close, and accounts reconciliations
- Strong aptitude for detailed review and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to manage messaging to multiple stakeholders
- Experience with financial reporting to a foreign Parent Company
- Experience with financial systems
- CPA or CPA candidate

- Experience in a trading organization
- IFRS experience
- Experience researching and interpreting technical accounting issues
- Advanced Excel skills, including vlookup, index, and pivot tables
- Experience with data mining and working with large data sets
- Ability to multi-task and deal with time-sensitive projects with competing deadlines and stakeholders
- Workday experience
- MS Teams and PowerBI experience
