Job Summary
Own the monthly/quarterly/yearly close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements, and general ledger analysis. Manage the review and preparation of financial statement reporting deliverables while ensuring reports comply with GAAP. Serve as a primary liaison for external auditors during financial and internal audits, providing supporting documentation and addressing queries. Proactively identify process improvements, draft inventory reports, and reconcile inventory against the ERP system to correct discrepancies. Collaborate with business units to gather inputs for forecasts and budgets, and partner with FP&A, Legal, Tax, and Operations teams to provide accounting guidance. Train and mentor junior accounting staff while sharing technical expertise across the team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 6+ years of relevant technical accounting experience
- CPA certification is equivalent to 3 years of public accounting experience or 4 years of corporate accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Quantum)
- Advanced MS Excel skills and experience with financial modeling and analysis
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environment and changing business priorities
- Subject to a background check and drug testing
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in accounting
- 8+ years relevant work experience
- Sarbanes Oxley experience
- Experience with a Big Four or national public accounting firm
