Sr. Fields Operation Technician

Job Summary
Test, diagnose, and troubleshoot existing PV systems in the field and remotely while conducting maintenance inspections and reporting findings. Coordinate system outage resolution and analyze performance via online monitoring tools, then prepare quotes for corrective maintenance. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on commercial PV systems, including testing, job safety planning, troubleshooting, inspection, and commissioning of new assets. Maintain asset operations through rotating on-call support for emergency and weekend needs. Travel up to two weeks monthly to jobsites, applying Standard Solar and OSHA safety policies while reporting progress to management.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Minimum of (10) years of hands-on electrical experience as a Solar Technician
- Qualifying experience demonstrating eligibility to sit for the Master Electrician Certification examination
- Troubleshooting logic
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Proficiency and experience with the National Electric Code (NEC)
- Competency with Microsoft Office
- Must be willing to travel up to two weeks out of the month
- Must successfully pass background check
- Must successfully pass pre-employment drug testing
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer
Desired Qualifications
- Journeyman or Master Electrician certification
- Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Experience with MODBUS control schemes and data acquisition systems
- NABCEP PV Installation Professional (PVIP) certification
- OSHA training
