Job Summary
Senior field service technician responsible for preventive maintenance, start-ups, and repairs of generator systems (diesel and gaseous engines) including commissioning, diagnostics, and inter-system integrations. Leads project tasks, coordinates with cross-functional teams, and ensures adherence to safety and quality standards. Requires expert troubleshooting of single/three-phase AC power, electronic controls, and gas-powered systems; strong communication with customers; willingness to travel up to 100% and to work from home in the US. Proficiency with Windows-based tools (Excel, Word) and diagnostic software; familiarity with MV safety and high-voltage concepts; ECUs (ECU7/ECU8/ECU9) training and experience in paralleling genset systems. Rolls-Royce engineering culture and compliance emphasis are integral to the role.
Required Qualifications
- Two years mechanical trade school or Associate's Degree in Engineering Science or Mechanical Technology
- 7 years field service, mechanical or electrical troubleshooting experience; or 9 years field service, mechanical or electrical troubleshooting experience of gaseous powered systems
- Ability to travel internationally and domestically
- Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S without sponsorship
