Job Summary
Support vehicle launch activities across prototype builds, validation programs, and Start of Production phases by investigating complex issues in powertrain, electrical, and software systems. Reproduce failures on pilot or test vehicles to validate root causes, analyze fault codes and telemetry data, and partner with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to execute corrective actions. Manage the full lifecycle of quality concerns from identification through closure, prioritizing high-risk issues that impact customer experience or production readiness. Transform real-world warranty and field data into actionable insights for launch containment and process improvements. This role requires daily onsite collaboration at the Coolidge, AZ manufacturing facility to drive quality targets from launch through stable production.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related STEM discipline
- 6+ years of experience in Automotive Field Quality, Product Quality, Reliability Engineering, Warranty Engineering, Diagnostics Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, Vehicle Integration, Service Engineering, or related technical disciplines
- Strong understanding of vehicle systems, including powertrain, electrical systems, high-voltage systems, thermal systems, chassis, body, infotainment, and software-enabled vehicle functions
- Hands-on experience performing vehicle investigations, issue replication, diagnostics, validation, and technical problem solving
- Experience investigating complex vehicle issues and performing structured root cause analysis
- Ability to interpret diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), service logs, vehicle logs, telemetry data, warranty information, and manufacturing data
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, variability drivers, and emerging risks using real-world field, warranty, and production data
- Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Service, Program Management, Operations, and Supplier-facing teams
- Experience supporting manufacturing operations, launch activities, production readiness, or fast-paced production environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into clear problem statements, risk assessments, and action plans
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced launch and production environments where priorities evolve rapidly
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform the essential duties of the position, including understanding work instructions, safety procedures, and job-related communications
- This role is fully onsite at our Coolidge, AZ manufacturing facility
- Daily in-person collaboration with Manufacturing, Program Management, Engineering, Quality, Service, and Operations teams is required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting vehicle launches, prototype builds, pilot builds, pre-production builds, validation programs, or Start of Production (SOP) activities
- Experience supporting new vehicle programs within an OEM environment
- Electric vehicle experience, including high-voltage architectures and advanced vehicle systems
- Experience working directly with Manufacturing Engineering, NPI, Program Management, Launch, Quality, or Operations organizations
- Experience working within an automotive manufacturing facility, vehicle assembly plant, or production environment
- Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, launch containment, control plans, production readiness reviews, and automotive launch processes
- Experience using structured quality and problem-solving methodologies, including 8D, FMEA, DOE, SPC, Fishbone Analysis, Control Plans, PPAP, and related tools
- Experience supporting multiple vehicle programs through launch and early production phases
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
