Job Summary
Sr. Field Performance Technician at Sunrun manages service and warranty work, coordinates labor resources with the Field Service/O&M team, supports onboarding and training of new field members, leads regular meetings to share best practices, analyzes and improves field performance metrics (turnaround time, experience rating, dispatches completed), and conducts inspections and site audits. The role requires 1–3 years of field construction or solar experience, knowledge of NEC codes, a valid driver’s license, and preferred Electrical Journeyman certification. The position emphasizes customer service, communication, and ability to work across multiple teams in a fast-paced solar installation and service environment.
Required Qualifications
- 1 - 3 years of previous field construction or solar experience required
- High School diploma is required
- Valid driver’s license
- Electrical Journeyman certification or license preferred
- Knowledge of NEC and applicable codes and standards
- Ability to transport materials and equipment (up to 50 pounds frequently, up to 100 pounds with assistance)
- Able to work on rooftops and in outdoor conditions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Customer service oriented
- Ability to interpret single line drawings and PV systems from roof to meter
