Job Summary
Design, implement and manage large-scale voice and data communications systems and networks for Amtrak Engineering and other departments. Lead the workforce that installs and maintains all communications and radio infrastructure, supervise maintenance personnel, review SLAs and warranties, assist in project management during installation of new systems, and interface with internal departments, customers and vendors. Requires strong knowledge of IP networking, communications, radio and security systems, and the ability to document projects using Visio/Office; Sr-level leadership and cross-functional collaboration are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required OR equivalent combination of training, education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- 6 years of experience in project controls
- 8+ years of relevant experience preferred
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with eight years relevant experience or twelve years equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities including experience in communications, radio and security system support
- Experience managing and supervising technical maintenance personnel
- Excellent oral and written communications skills; proficiency with Microsoft Visio and Office to document projects and systems
