Sr. Field Application Engineer

Job Summary
Provide technical customer support and coordination as the first point of contact, delivering feedback and solutions based on approved product materials and datasheets. Assist customers in correctly designing Bosch products by collaborating with internal teams on sensors, ICs, and power semiconductors. Coordinate technical meetings, document OPLs, and manage pre-selling activities through leading technical presentations. Support quality issues during the development phase prior to SOP and oversee sample warehouse coordination for development kits. Ensure customer technical satisfaction from initial engagement through series production while communicating local market trends and competition.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience working in a design and/or application engineering role
- Strong communication skills verbally and written
- Must be able to build relationships quickly with internal and external stakeholders with the ability to work both independently and as part of a global team
- 5+ years of design and/or application engineering experience with semiconductors, MEMS devices, and/or Electronic Control Modules with an understanding of the automotive electronics market
- Knowledge of vehicle systems including, navigation and mobility, ADAS, and safety systems including airbag systems
- Ability to travel nationally/internationally as required for customer meetings, training, and customer support
- Must be available to come into the office weekly (or as required)
- Must pass a drug screen and background check
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of robotics in environments of manufacturing, humanoid and others
- Experienced with electronic engineering tools such as oscilloscopes, that are required for product development
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset with a clear understanding of the business environment as a supplier to Automotive Tier 1's and/or OEM's
- Candidates must live within commutable distance from the Bosch Sunnyvale, CA facility
