Job Summary
Senior Field Adjuster for Homeowner Claims in Columbus, OH (Remote with local travel). Investigates, evaluates, negotiates, and settles homeowners’ property claims, including inspecting damaged dwellings and personal property, photographing losses, determining repair scope, and preparing repair bids using Xactimate. Owns claims assigned at the Field Adjuster level, with potential progression to higher competency levels and coordination of independent adjuster assignments as needed. Duties span field and virtual inspections, in-person or virtual meetings with insureds, cost-of-repair determinations, and ensuring regulatory compliance throughout the claim lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years related professional experience
- 4+ years claims experience (homeowner claims preferred)
- High school diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree or higher may be in lieu of 2 years experience
- Knowledge of Xactimate repair estimating system
- Knowledge of homeowner policies and procedures
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record or alternative transportation
