Job Summary
Conduct daily facility maintenance and skilled trades work including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building repairs to ensure operational continuity. Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose mechanical systems while maintaining utilities in compliance with OSHA and local regulations. Coordinate with vendors and contractors for preventive maintenance and repairs, then establish and follow standard operating procedures to ensure consistency. Maintain facility documentation such as power and network diagrams, and partner with engineering teams to support production needs.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Facilities Management, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical/Mechanical Technology, or equivalent experience
- 5-7+ years of related facilities, maintenance, or skilled trades experience
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems using sound analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated experience performing equipment maintenance and troubleshooting while following established Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and Arc Flash safety protocols
- Working knowledge of building systems, preventive maintenance practices, and regulatory requirements relevant to industrial or utilities/energy environments
- Ability to break down complex issues, take ownership of solutions, and follow through to completion with a high level of accountability
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams, contractors, and vendors
- Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace and adhering to all safety programs and procedures
- Strong time management skills, attention to detail, and commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence
Desired Qualifications
- Basic proficiency with facility documentation tools; experience with CAD or similar systems
- Familiarity with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for facility layout and optimization
- Skilled trades experience in carpentry, electrical work, HVAC, or plumbing
- Exposure to vendor management, contract coordination, and service-level accountability
- Demonstrated ability to contribute innovative process improvements and enhance operational efficiencies
