Job Summary
Sr Examiner to perform comprehensive title examinations for Minnesota transactions, reviewing title searches, assessment searches, plats, inspections, and related documentation to prepare and issue Commitments to Insure for buyer and lender customers. Responsibilities include conducting examinations in accordance with Minnesota Title Standards and underwriter policies, processing title commitments/endorsements/revisions, guiding customers on action steps to resolve issues, coordinating with the closing team, proofreading commitments and correspondence, tracking files with proprietary software, maintaining productivity of 5–8 examinations per day, meeting turn-time standards, and participating in monthly underwriter training.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience with a title insurance company or other real estate services organization required
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience with a title insurance company or other real estate services organization required
- Demonstrated professionalism when interacting with internal and external customers
- Strong telephone etiquette and effective communication skills
- Proficient with standard office technology and document management systems
- Experience with proprietary title or real estate software preferred (CORE a plus)
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Can draw out a legal lengthy or meets and bounds description
