Job Summary
Conduct full conceptual and final estimating for custom home projects, including large-scale GC work. Visit sites and warehouses to gather essential data, then analyze forecasts and perform risk analysis to produce detailed bids. Resolve technical and value engineering matters with owners, A/E's, and contractors during negotiation. Select advantageous deals by evaluating offers while fostering relationships with key vendors. Manage multiple estimates simultaneously using construction software like Buildertrend and Procore. Build the estimating function from scratch, implement best practices, and operate independently.
Required Qualifications
- 4 year construction/engineering degree or equivalent combinations technical/training related experience
- 8+ years of estimating, cost control, and/or engineering in similar facility construction (i.e. Custom Homes, High-End Remodels, and/or ADUs)
- Ability to coordinate and steer group efforts essential
- Computer literate and able to quickly master and apply department's computer systems and software
- Experience working with Construction Software, such as Buildertrend, Procore, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, etc
Desired Qualifications
- Technical knowledge of various mechanical and electrical systems as well as experience in all structural/architectural disciplines and code and regulatory issues, desired
