Job Summary
Prepare and manage high-quality bid proposals for utility construction projects, coordinating estimating efforts across assigned regions and performing cost challenges and quality reviews. Oversee estimating processes to maintain standardized bidding practices while supporting the development of Work Breakdown Structures and item databases in estimating software. Analyze estimate performance versus actual project costs and provide weekly project status updates to support regional and organizational goals. Train and mentor team members to ensure accurate, competitive estimates.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering, Business, or Technical degree
- 4–7 years of related experience
- Experience estimating electrical transmission/distribution overhead or underground utility projects
- Progressively responsible experience in the utility or contractor services market
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage shared resources effectively
- Experience overseeing multimillion-dollar contract bid proposals
- Team-oriented with the ability to work across functions
- Remote work capability
