Job Summary
The Sr. Concrete Estimator will provide accurate bid proposals and comprehensive scope analysis for construction projects, including detailed take-offs, estimating labor/material/equipment costs (including crane costs) and change orders to create full cost estimates that achieve desired profit margins. role also encompasses business development through proactive client engagement, relationship building, and participation in networking/events to expand market presence. Responsibilities include leading bid efforts, reviewing proposals and drawings, attending pre-bid meetings, incorporating safety into estimating decisions, maintaining CRM-based pipelines, coordinating with estimating/preconstruction/marketing teams on bid strategy, and mentoring junior staff while ensuring alignment with client expectations and project profitability. Required Qualifications
- 8+ Years of Experience in Concrete Industry
- Experience in self-perform concrete estimating - for scopes of work in: foundations, flatwork, tiltup, sitework, structural concrete, etc required
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering preferred
- Complete knowledge of construction principles/practices required
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individuals
- Creative and results-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency
- Highly entrepreneurial and self-motivated, with the ability to work equally well on own as well as in a team environment
- 5+ years in Business Development
