Job Summary
Accurately input data for refinance and resale escrows, open title orders, and review preliminary reports to clear items. Order and review payoff demands, calculate prorations for taxes and dues, and prepare grant deeds, quitclaim deeds, and amendments for executive officer review. Prepare estimated and final closing statements, balance funding figures, authorize recordings, and prepare checks. Audit and balance escrows as directed, ensuring all funds are received and shortages are verified. Perform additional responsibilities as requested, maintaining high-quality results and adherence to company policies. Requires DFPI and EAFC approval.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of one year of previous escrow assistant experience
- Knowledge of escrow, real estate, title and/or mortgage business helpful
- Ability to handle multiple line telephone console
- Strong personal computer skills
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent organizational skills with a focus on details to ensure accuracy
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently
- Position will require approval from the Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI) and EAFC (Escrow Agents Fidelity Corporation)
