Job Summary
Sr. Equipment Rental Specialist is an experienced inside sales role supporting telephone and walk-in customers with rentals of construction/industrial equipment. The position serves as the company’s front line of contact with customers, understanding equipment needs, negotiating, and placing orders. Ancillary duties may include supporting dispatch logistics and training other team members. Education/experience: High School diploma or GED required; valid driver’s license required; 3+ years in equipment rental or 4-year degree plus 1 year rental experience preferred. Strong customer service, telephone, and administrative skills; DOT qualification preferred; bilingual ability may be preferred in some locations. The role emphasizes customer satisfaction and collaboration within a large Sunbelt Rentals network with extensive on-the-job training and growth opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required
- Valid Driver’s license required
- At least 3 years of equipment rental industry experience or 4 year degree + 1 year equipment rental industry preferred
- DOT Qualification process preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be preferred in some locations
- Strong customer service & telephone skills
- Solid computer and administrative skills
