Job Summary
Sr Equipment Rental Specialist serves as the front-line inside sales contact for customers, supporting telephone and walk-in inquiries, understanding equipment needs, negotiating and placing rental orders, and delivering professional customer service. The role emphasizes developing skills for career growth through an inside sales/operational management track, leveraging strong administrative capabilities and familiarity with construction tools to meet customer needs. Strong communication, computer proficiency, and a commitment to service—along with experience in equipment rental and potential DOT qualification—are key. This position offers extensive on-the-job training and opportunities for advancement within a leading North American equipment rental company.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required
- Valid Driver’s license required
- Familiarity with various types of construction/industrial tools & equipment
- Previous equipment rental industry experience
- Strong customer service & telephone skills
- Solid computer and administrative skills
- Successful completion of the DOT Qualification process preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be preferred in some locations
