Job Summary

Develop scalable software solutions for automated manufacturing equipment, production test systems, and industrial automation platforms. Integrate software with PLCs, motion control systems, sensors, vision systems, and industrial communication protocols while troubleshooting hardware and automation issues in production environments. Lead projects from concept through deployment, collaborating with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, Electrical, and Product Development to deliver reliable, compliant manufacturing solutions. Support New Product Introduction and manufacturing scale-up activities, leveraging experience in medical devices, robotics, or regulated environments to improve product quality and process capability.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on manufacturing, automation, or industrial systems.
  • Strong programming experience in: C#, Python, Structured Text (IEC 61131-3 PLC Programming).
  • Experience developing software for automated manufacturing equipment, production test systems, or industrial automation platforms.
  • Experience integrating software with PLCs, motion control systems, sensors, vision systems, and industrial communication protocols.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented software design, software architecture, and software development best practices.
  • Experience with SQL databases, data collection systems, and manufacturing analytics.
  • Proficiency with source control systems such as Git and modern software development workflows.
  • Ability to troubleshoot software, hardware, and automation issues in a production environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, operations, and quality teams.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in medical devices, robotics, or highly regulated manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and manufacturing scale-up activities preferred.
  • Medical device, robotics, or regulated manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with FDA, ISO 13485, GMP, or other regulated quality systems is a plus.
