Sr. Epitaxy Equipment Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Perform routine preventative and specialty maintenance on MOCVD reactors, associated process equipment, and characterization tools, including frequent hardware parts cleaning and facility upkeep for gas delivery, filtration, heat exchangers, and vacuum pumps. Troubleshoot equipment failures, conduct root cause analysis, and make recommendations for repairs or modifications while preparing SOPs and parts specification documentation. Manage incoming inspections and measurements on received equipment and parts, maintaining routine inventory control of spare parts and consumables. Interface with equipment and facilities vendors to support 24/7 manufacturing operations, participate in safety programs and certifications, and operate material handling equipment in a cleanroom environment. Work independently or under guidance with flexibility for on-call hours or irregular schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five years' experience working in a semiconductor industry or similar
- Solid MOCVD epitaxy equipment knowledge
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment
- Attention to detail and understanding of the importance of quality workmanship
- Dependable and able to maintain on-call hours or occasional irregular work hours or work week
- Good written and organizational skills
- Proficient in MS Office
- Self-driven with the flexibility to work independently or under general guidance and direction
- Possess a strong personal focus on safety for themselves and those around them
- Safety conscious and able to maintain a safe work environment
- Able to properly use safety equipment to analyze risks and emergencies (respirator, gas leak detection, etc.)
- Operate material handling equipment (i.e. forklift, hand trucks, palette jacks, etc.)
- Loading and pushing hand trucks and carts to move equipment to various locations
- Climbing stairs and ladders to access areas and equipment
- May be required to receive medical clearance for respirator use
