Sr. Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist

Job Summary
Develop and maintain EHS programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct facility inspections to identify hazards, recommend corrective actions, and manage risk assessments for equipment design and management of change activities. Deliver EHS training and communications while leading incident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. Coordinate workers' compensation case management and maintain all required EHS records, permits, and compliance files. Report performance metrics and issues to site leadership. This role serves as the sole EHS resource for the facility, supporting corporate initiatives within a global manufacturing network.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of EHS regulations and compliance requirements, including OSHA, EPA, and applicable local, state, regional, and national regulations
- Ability to develop and implement EHS policies, programs, and procedures
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Knowledge of incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes
- Familiarity with equipment introduction and validation processes (e.g., FAT, SAT, PSSR, user requirements)
- Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines with technical accuracy
- Knowledge of EHS recordkeeping and documentation requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- A minimum of (5) years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
Desired Qualifications
- Education and/or training specific to EHS in a manufacturing environment
- Understanding of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards preferred
