Job Summary
Senior Environmental Engineer responsible for overseeing multimedia environmental programs and ensuring compliance with BAAQMD permits, RCRA/CUPA hazardous waste, NPDES stormwater, and groundwater. Requires CIH expertise to mitigate workplace hazards. Core duties include leading BAAQMD permitting and rules compliance, tracking and reporting toxic air contaminants and criteria pollutants, preparing AERs, HRAs, and air dispersion modeling; developing HMBPs, EPCRA reporting, and SPCC plans; overseeing subsurface investigations, groundwater monitoring, and remediation technologies; leading SWPPP implementation, monitoring, and reporting; managing industrial discharge permits; evaluating BMPs to prevent pollution. Travel to Bay Area offices as needed. Preferred P.E. certification and HAZWOPER training.
Required Qualifications
- Active Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation
- B.S. or M.S. in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering or similar
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive environmental consulting or industry experience
- Experience with Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) air permitting and site remediation
- Ability to travel to bay area offices as needed
