Job Summary
Track, manage, and reconcile software licenses, entitlements, subscriptions, and renewals to optimize utilization while maintaining accurate inventory records in SAM tools like Maximo or Teams. Support compliance audits and remediation activities, generate timely reports on usage and trends, and manage software request processes for internal stakeholders. Assist with procurement activities including vendor communications, quote requests, and engineering instructions for purchase orders, collaborating with Supply Chain and program teams for efficient lifecycle management. Facilitate stakeholder meetings and deliver presentations on SAM initiatives to improve organizational efficiency and audit readiness.
Required Qualifications
- Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire
- Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation
- Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Master's degree
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Software Asset Management or related roles
- Experience with software license models and compliance management
- Proficiency with Microsoft suite, generative AI and data management tools
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Self-motivated with ability to prioritize work according to business needs
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field
- Prior experience in IT procurement processes
- Understanding of software publisher licensing agreements (e.g., Microsoft, Red Hat, VMware)
