Sr. Engineer, System Validation

Lead validation strategy for silicon photonic and laser products; define and implement comprehensive validation methodologies to guarantee component and system-level requirements; develop test plans, define success criteria, and select appropriate test equipment and methodologies. Drive product bring-up with Design Engineering, troubleshooting silicon photonic and laser products, and perform electrical and optical characterization of VLSI and optoelectronic systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify improvements via Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), bench characterization, and other techniques; lead New Product Introduction with Design, Package, and Reliability Engineering to ensure smooth transition to mass production. Deliver customer-facing validation reports and documentation communicating product performance and reliability. Develop test software and infrastructure using Python for test automation and maintain software scripts and test hardware stations. Manage project schedules to meet product timelines and customer demand while upholding high quality. Requires BS in Electrical Engineering, 3+ years in test equipment and signal quality metrics, 2+ years in Python for automation and data analysis, knowledge of Ethernet/PCIe, strong problem-solving skills, data analysis, and experience with SoC validation and high-speed SerDes. Master’s or PhD preferred, with industry experience in semiconductor lasers, photonics, system test, and validation.
