Job Summary
Senior Engineer role focused on leading front-end planning and design for capital-growth projects on the BHE GT&S interstate system. Responsibilities include hydraulic modeling, sizing and routing pipelines, interconnect station design, compressor equipment evaluation, and translating commercial opportunities into executable projects with cross-functional collaboration (Business Development, Marketing, Gas Control, Operations, System Optimization, Construction, Environmental/Regulatory, Legal). The position emphasizes delivering reliable system capacity, developing technical specifications and cost databases, providing QA/QC across project phases, and guiding junior engineers while coordinating with senior engineers on larger initiatives. The role requires a four-year engineering degree, strong analytical and leadership abilities, proficiency in engineering software (e.g., Matlab, Excel), and excellent written and oral communication skills to support design, costing, scheduling, and compliance across an eight-state footprint.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year ABET accredited engineering degree (Engineer)
- 5 years industry experience for Sr. Engineer
- 8+ years of relevant engineering experience for Sr. Engineer II
- PE license preferred
- Strong leadership and project-management skills
- Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
- Proficiency with engineering software (e.g., Matlab, Excel) and ability to perform hydraulic modeling
