Sr. Engineer - Procurement

Job Summary
Manage procurement of direct materials including Actuators, Pumps, Motors, and OEM parts, coordinating with Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure on-time delivery at right cost. Drive supplier account performance, manage pre-order costing, and lead purchase order creation while monitoring workflows and implementing contracts. Establish supplier quality standards, review manufacturing ship plans, and identify gaps to mitigate fulfillment risks. Initiate competitive bids, comply with GST and SEZ regulations, and develop alternate suppliers for cost advantages. Interface with departments on payment approvals and invoice discrepancies while adhering to IMI CE policies. Requires 4-7 years of experience in the valve/pump industry with ERP knowledge; willing to travel as required.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of valve/ pump industry supplier base
- Knowledge in Actuators, Motors, Hydraulic Power packs, Instrumentation controls & OEM Parts
- Good negotiating skills to get right prices comply to required delivery and quality standards
- Demonstrated ability to read part drawings and good analytical & planning skills
- Experience and knowledge in ERP environment like ORACLE/BAAN/ IFS/SAP
- Degree in Mechanical/ Mechatronics / Electrical/ Instrumentation Engineering
- 4- 7 years experience
- Must be willing to travel as required
