Job Summary
Sr. Engineer Java Full Stack at KeyBank in Cleveland leads and mentors a development squad to design, build, and deploy scalable, secure software across UI, server, and database layers. Responsibilities include owning architecture and technical direction for new features, guiding junior/mid-level developers, performing end-to-end development, conducting code reviews, addressing security vulnerabilities, optimizing performance, driving code quality and release hygiene, and staying current with modern software practices. Required skills include front-end expertise (React, Angular, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, ES6), back-end Java and/or Node.js, REST/SOAP/microservices, relational and NoSQL databases (Oracle, SQL, MongoDB), DevOps (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins), cloud familiarity (Google Cloud Platform), experience with testing frameworks (Cypress, Mocha), and strong collaboration in Agile (Kanban/Scrum) environments. 8+ years in full stack development with leadership experience, 5+ years banking/finance domain exposure, and a Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- 8+ years in full stack software development with hands-on front-end (React, Angular) and back-end (Java, Node.js) experience
- 2+ years leading engineers
- 5+ years of experience with databases such as Oracle, SQL, MongoDB
- 5+ years of experience in banking/finance industry
- Experience with RESTful API design, SOAP services and microservices architecture
- Experience in cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform a plus)
- Strong DevOps familiarity (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with automated testing frameworks (Cypress, Mocha)
- Experience with code review tools (SonarQube)
- Experience with Siebel CRM webservices a plus
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience in agile development environments (Kanban, Scrum)
