Job Summary
The Sr Engineer III, Electronics is accountable for leading design and development of complex electronic hardware for medical devices. Key responsibilities include driving hardware design activities across the engineering lifecycle, circuit design, verification test planning, and troubleshooting. This role demands strong expertise in analog/digital circuits, design tools, and experience with electronic components. Candidates need to have significant experience in electronics development and solid analytical skills to support critical product decisions.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in electronics design, development, and troubleshooting
- Strong expertise in analog and digital circuit design
- Strong experience with schematic capture tools such as PADS, OrCAD, Altium, or equivalent
- Experience supporting PCB layout, board bring-up, and high-speed design methodologies
- Strong troubleshooting capability using standard electronic lab instrumentation
- Experience with embedded systems and firmware support for board bring-up
- Working knowledge of communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, and USB
- Familiarity with full product development lifecycle from concept through production
- Ability to translate system requirements into hardware design solutions
- Strong analytical, technical problem-solving, and documentation skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills across cross-functional teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Desired Qualifications
- Experience designing within medical device or other regulated product development environments
- Familiarity with IEC 60601-1 and related compliance standards
- Experience supporting EMC/EMI design, testing, and troubleshooting
- Exposure to signal integrity and power integrity design considerations
- Experience with electrical simulation tools such as PSPICE, Multisim, or equivalent
- Programming experience in C for embedded systems support
- Familiarity with MATLAB or similar engineering analysis tools
- Exposure to embedded Linux environments

- Ability to work onsite Monday - Friday in Irvine, CA
