Job Summary
Senior Facilities Engineer responsible for reliability, safety, and performance of infrastructure across American Airlines’ terminals, base, and line maintenance operations; handles systems such as baggage handling, jet bridges, power distribution, HVAC, fire suppression, life safety; documents needs, analyzes justification, and suggests process improvements; collaborates with Corporate Real Estate, Aircraft Maintenance, Component Maintenance, Ground Support Engineering, and Customer Experience; requires ability to interpret specifications/blueprints into repair documentation, develop procedures, and deliver reports; travel up to 35%, must pass background/fingerprint checks and pre-employment drug test; education includes Bachelor's in Mechanical/Industrial/Systems/Electrical engineering with 4 years of project experience; Master’s degree preferred; proficient with CAD and Visio; knowledge of NFPA codes and electrical standards; able to document projects clearly and work with minimal supervision; familiarity with regulatory and environmental directives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical. Industrial, Systems, Electrical, or similar Engineering disciplines
- 4 years experience managing, coordinating, and completing projects
